Where can I update my account's username? Do I need to visit a branch?

You can add a username to your account through the Research Catalog (https://catalog.nypl.org).
1. Sign in with your barcode number and PIN/password in the Research Catalog .
2. Click on "Edit" next to the "Username".
3. Enter a username and click Submit to update your account information. If the username you select is in use by another patron you'll need to choose another username. Your username must be 5-15 characters long, and can include letters and numbers, but no special characters.
