Due to circumstances beyond NYPL's control, an older version of the "New Arrivals" page had been having a number of issues that could not be remedied, so an alternative way has been set up to view new items:

From the front page of the catalog ( https://borrow.nypl.org/ ), you'll see "New Arrivals" as the first section -- select the option to "View Search Results" towards the right-hand side of the screen

On the next page, you'll see on the left side options to "Refine Results".

There you'll see filters for "BOOK/TEXT", "DVD", and "New Arrivals" set by default to within a "week" (it can be increased to a month, quarter, or year). You can add additional filters to narrow the results further by Subjects, Literary Form, etc. Be sure to hit the "Apply" button at bottom left to set your preferences.

It's also possible to sort this list by options such as "Author" or "Title" (A-Z, Z-A), or "Date" (newest, oldest)

Since this is change had to be made quickly without the usual testing and patron notifications, we'd strongly suggest sending your feedback via the form included on the page. On a desktop/laptop computer, that button is towards the top of the screen, in line with where your name or the "Log in" option appears. On a mobile device or tablet, this feedback button only appears once you select "Advanced Search" -- it'll be at the bottom of the list of filters.
