Can I have books mailed to my home?

I'm homebound and can't leave my house. Is there a program to have books sent to my home?

The New York Public Library offers two free programs to ​​accommodate our patrons who can no longer visit the library due to mobility and travel issues.

The Books by Mail Service of The New York Public Library is for people who live in the Bronx, Manhattan or Staten Island and can use regular library materials, but have a physical disability that prevents them from going to the library themselves:
